The resources on this site are categorized by grade level as shown below. 3rd grade students should be able to perform addition and subtraction using single-digit numbers and two-digit numbers to 19. Your child should also be able to solve word problems using similar values. e.g. There were six children in a classroom. Eight more children came in. How many children are in the classroom?

Your child should know what the multiplication (x) represents and know that, for example, 3 x 7 = 7 + 7 + 7. He or she should also be able to solve multiplication word problems. e.g. There were 4 children. Each had 6 cookies. How many cookies did the children have together?

3rd grade skills should include the ability to read time and convert digital time to analog. Students should also be able to add and subtract using money values and recall key calendar facts. e.g. number of days in a year.
