Important note for webmasters and educators with
web sites: these math quizzes were made using three files that allow
for their relatively easy re-compilation into different tests. As with
all HelpingWithMath.com resources, these math test files are freely
available for your download and re-use as per the Creative Commons
License at bottom of this page. Please
feel free to download them. Reading the XML file in the ZIP file
should tell you what you need to know. If it doesn't please contact
us and we'll be glad to help.
About our online math tests
The tests use the SWIFT Technology as developed and graciously donated
by Gemini Performance Solutions Inc. The two features of SWIFT that
HelpingWithMath.com are most excited about are:
- Adaptive length testing - SWIFT tests and assessments can be set
to only ask the minimum number of questions needed to determine skill
levels. Novices and experts alike do not need to endure a lengthy
test to determine how much, or how little they know.
- Cognitive Feedback - each online math test can be review on completion
and each question includes feedback. The short answer questions allow
for corrective feedback to be written for commonly made mistakes.
