Add the measurements of the two small angles to find the measurement of the large angle for each problem. If angle GHK = 125°, what is the measure of angle GHJ?

 90 ° + n -90 = 125°  -90 n = 35 ° If angle ABC = 52°, what is the measure of angle ABD?

 30 ° + n -30 = 52 °  -30 n = 22 °
If angle PDQ = 23°, and angle SDQ = 11°, what is the measure of angle PDS? =   12° If angle XYZ = 91 °, and angle XYV = 48 °, what is the measure of angle VYZ? =   43° If angle LMN = 84 °, and angle LMP = 49 °, what is the measure of angle NMP? =   35° If angle TUV = 35 °, and angle TUW = 14°, what is the measure of angle VUW? =   21°

Recognize angle measure as additive. When an angle is decomposed into non-overlapping parts, the angle measure of the whole is the sum of the angle measures of the parts. Solve addition and subtraction problems to find unknown angles on a diagram in real world and mathematical problems, e.g., by using an equation with a symbol for the unknown angle measure.
