x comes first.
7. What is the vertical axis called?
The vertical axis is called the y axis.
8. What is the horizontal axis called?
The horizontal axis is called the x axis.
9. What is each of the four sections created by the intersecting lines called?
A quadrant.
10. How are the four sections marked?
The quadrants are marked using Roman numerals.
